LimitState develops user-friendly analysis software that helps civil and structural engineers answer the question that matters most: how will this structure fail, and how close is it to failing?
Our software uses advanced mathematical optimisation to search the full space of possible failure mechanisms, identifying the critical one automatically in a matter of seconds. Engineers are not restricted to a library of predefined mechanisms, nor obliged to guess a failure surface in advance, and get results that are fast, transparent and straightforward to defend in an assessment report.

LimitState:RING is trusted by consulting engineers, network operators and bridge owners worldwide as the leading tool for rapid masonry arch bridge analysis. Version 4 represents several years of development and brings highly flexible geometry definition including CAD import, automatic positioning of vehicles to identify the critical load case, and a Permissible Limit State analysis mode for assessing performance under working loads. Together with built-in CS454 load vehicles, template files and a command line interface for batch assessment, it offers a direct route to assessment in line with CS454 and CIRIA C800.
RING suits both ends of the workload: screening a large stock of structures to prioritise maintenance spend, and investigating a single problem bridge in depth, including the effects of defects such as ring separation, cracking and support movement.
== LimitState:GEO ==
LimitState:GEO is a general purpose geotechnical stability tool. It handles embankment and cutting slopes, bridge abutments, retaining and reinforced soil walls, culverts, buried structures and foundation bearing capacity, and more, all within a single environment, automatically identifying the critical failure mechanism for any geometry, soil profile and loading arrangement you can draw. Because no failure surface is assumed, GEO gives reliable answers for the awkward, layered and heavily loaded cases where conventional method-of-slices approaches struggle.

LimitState:SLAB automates yield-line analysis of reinforced concrete slabs, determining the critical yield-line pattern and ultimate load capacity for slabs of arbitrary geometry, including bridge decks and slabs with openings, irregular support conditions and complex reinforcement layouts.
