David Kilburn
Regional Engineering Manager, BAM InfrastructureDavid is BAM’s Regional Engineering Manager in Scotland, with a background in Contracting and Design, mainly Temporary Works. Working within BAM Infrastructure in Scotland, he is the Line Manager for eleven people who are actively involved in Design and Engineering Management across Scotland.
He is one of BAM’s most respected Engineering Managers, bringing a varied, multidisciplinary background working across the Energy Sector, Bridges and Marine Works.
Notable jobs in which he has played key roles include the Destiny Bridge at Perth, part of the wider Cross Tay Link Road project; two berthing facilities for British Antarctic Survey vessels; the Queensferry Crossing; Fair Isle Berth Renewal; and the Rosyth CVF Upgrade. He has co-authored three technical papers on caissons.
He is a Fellow of the ICE and supports the Institution as a Professional Reviewer. Within BAM, he organises Engineering Forums, provides briefings on Temporary Works Procedures, and leads a group on Professional Development of Engineers.
